Our succession planning workshops are designed for businesses owners who are interested in developing a succession plan for their business who are located in the greater Cleveland area.
The Greater Cleveland Small Business Succession program is made up of two workshops which will provide businesses owners with an overview of business succession planning, what it is, what options exist, and how employee ownership can be used as a succession planning tool. The first workshop, "Who Will Own Your Business Next?" will focus on succession planning and the development of your goals and objectives. The second workshop, "Is Employee Ownership Right for You?" explores the option of selling your company to your employees using an employee ownership model.
The two workshops (detailed below) will be held in 4 different locations throughout greater Cleveland area (Downtown, East, West, and South). You can attend both workshops, or one. Locations and dates can be found below in the "Cost & Registration" section below.
Workshop 1: Who Will Own Your Business Next?
This workshop provides attendees with a general overview of the issues and options that business owners have for small business succession.
Time - 8am-11:30am
Registration and continental breakfast - 8am-8:30am

Workshop 2: Is Employee Ownership Right for You?
This workshop will provide an in-depth exploration of using employee ownership as a succession planning strategy. It will cover the pros and cons of a sale to employees as well as the various employee ownership options available to business owners. Employee ownership can be a viable option for the business owner who wants to preserve the legacy of what they built, reward the employees who helped them build it, all while receiving a fair price for the business. And, if you are a business owner without children interested in taking over, or who finds an outside sale difficult or unappealing, employee ownership might be the right fit.

Regular rate is $125.00 per attendee
Discounted rate is $75.00 per attendee
